In the beginning of my post on Malpidity the term Idiocrat was introduced, but not defined so I might as well do that now. By Idiocrat I refer exactly to homo sapiens either allowed or assigned some form of responsibility or authority that allows them to inflict harm upon others by the application their malicious stupidity, or their advocacy or actions such that other persons carry out their maliciously stupid agenda.
What I don't refer to with the Idiocrat label is any particular political position as outside of their Pidgin vocabulary there is very little way to be sure any two are talking about the same thing as even though they may be using the same words, there is a significant, sometimes certain chance, that they don't intend the same meanings be attached to their words.1 Incidentally this assists in the phenomena documented in the post on Malpidity where:
If instead you gather a large group of people who simply abhor higher cognitive function the result is the same. People around the world reinforcing their stupidity on the strength of assertions backed by the stupidity of others. Whereas historically a maliciously stupid idea might be contained by geography and manage to make one village suffer while its neighboring town dismissed it, the Internet allows the maliciously stupid to grow self reinforcing networks2 where they can oppose cognitive function together.
This is possible because Ignorance of language allows them to disagree without awareness of disagreement. Consensus is easy without nuance or consequence. These things combine with the other aspects of the maliciously stupid before in the harms wrought by Idiocrats.
Idiocrats are the reason for security theater without security. It's why people running large organizations insist on treating Microsoft Windows as an equal on the network when even attempts to do so are unsafe. Idiocrats are why time wasting credits are imposed, which are a net negative compared to not wasting time that could be spent on actual education.
Simply Idiocrats and their malicious stupidity are why people can't have nice things.
- Among people who care to read, to ask questions, and to understand the language they are operating in the chance of misunderstanding rapidly approaches zero. This is because words have meaning and grammar arranges words in ways that add relation and clarity to the word's meanings. Understanding takes cognitive overhead and work learning the language which of course is unpalatable to Idiocrats and other maliciously stupid persons. [↩]
