With a difficulty drop occuring this month a good number of coins were
dumped and we caught quite a number of them on the way down. As the
portion of the ATC monetary base held here increased to near 10% we've
backed off of buying ATC as aggressively.
The big developement this past month was that after the difficulty
increase, the ATC blockchain stalled. As a result renting hashpower to
mine and keep the blockchain moving has become a part of this activity
now. This means we've been acquiring a number of ATC expensively, but on
the plus side this means a portion of this activity is now completely
transparent as the mined coins sit on an address which is publically
known.
Also on the plus side there's a bot that reports the 30 Day VWAP now. It
was 197 satoshis per ATC.
Here's the output:
[X-BT VWAP] Bid: 175 Ask: 221 Last Price: 175 30d-Vol: 1.61M
30d-High: 250 30d-Low: 170 30d-VWAP: 197
Here's a snipped of conversation with the Managment about the crisis:
The Boss: had it sunk atc it'd have been a public service.
MeatBot: Yeah, but Bitcoin isn't for the "public"
The Boss: "had it sunk atc it'd have done the world a service" ?
MeatBot: Maybe, but it would have killed a great joke and given Hearn
et al too much relief
The Boss: well if it managed to kill it atc'd have had to suck.
The Boss: if we do counterfactuals we gotta do them right.
MeatBot: Ah, yeah that part
